fb150Frikkie Botha started Phenduka Perceptions Consulting as an independent perception management consultancy in 2007.

He was previously the CEO of Arcay Communications a full service communications agency. He spearheaded the establishment of the agencies public affairs offering. He has worked in more than 20 African countries and was instrumental in helping to establish the largest network of independent public relations agencies on the continent.

Experience in Nation Branding, Government Relations, Crisis Communications


He has more than 10 years of experience in providing strategic counsel and implementation support to a range of clients including Public and Private sector clients and Non-governmental Organisations (NGO’s) on projects ranging from nation branding, government relations, corporate positioning, issue management, crisis communications to media relations.
With a background in political science and politics he developed a specialisation in assisting organisations and companies engaged in or affected by public issues, requiring government relations and political council and those that are facing public profile challenges and crises. This experience enabled him to make a valuable contribution and bring key insight to the IMC – Brand South Africa account on which he worked during the first four years of its establishment.
